-21.7°C (Northern Polar region) + (5.7°C (Mid-lat N) + 15.1°C (Mid-lat S)) /2 = 10.4°C + 25.2°C (Tropical region) - 11.1°C (South polar region ) = 2.7°C

Northern polar region and parts of the mid-lat areas are covered in a total of 42 million km² extent of snow.

Northern hemisphere sea ice is just under 12 million km².

Maximum observed was 38.1°C in the deserts of Australia.

Minimum observed was -39.1°C over the greenland ice sheet.

As snow extent remains high and the sun starts moving towards the earth the negative anomaly will increase.

2024 saw a 2.43°C degree negative anomaly. (1.48°C vs 3.91°C).
